This specialist first aid training course is designed to empower school staff, youth workers, and safeguarding leads with the skills and confidence to respond effectively in the event of a stabbing or catastrophic bleed—potentially saving a life before emergency services arrive.
This sensitive but essential half-day course focuses on practical, scenario-based learning tailored to educational settings.

- Understanding the nature and risks of knife incidents
- Catastrophic bleeding control
- How to apply tourniquets and haemostatic dressings (commercial and improvised)
- Imbedded objects
- Managing trauma scenes in school settings
- Communicating with emergency services
- Supporting the scene until EMS arrives
- Brief discussion on the emotional impact and safeguarding
