Benedict's Law Compliance Training

Our Allergy Awareness for Schools Level 3  provides practical Benedict’s Law compliance training for schools and education providers. Designed specifically for teachers, support staff and anyone responsible for the care of children, this engaging course covers allergy awareness, anaphylaxis management, adrenaline auto-injector use and your school’s legal responsibilities. Paediatric First Aid (EYFS) 12 hour

Our Paediatric First Aid (EYFS) course is a 12 hour training course designed for anyone working with babies and young children. Fully compliant with Ofsted and EYFS requirements, it’s ideal for nursery staff, childminders and early years professionals. We offer both a 2 day in person course and a blended option, which combines flexible online learning with one day of face-to-face practical training. Both versions cover essential topics including CPR, choking, allergic reactions, seizures and accident reporting.

Two delivery models:

  • Blended – 6 hours online self paced learning prior to a day in the classroom.
  • 2 days in the classroom.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) One day

Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is ideal for school staff who may be the first to respond in an emergency. This one day course covers essential first aid skills such as CPR, choking, dealing with unconscious casualties and managing common injuries. It’s practical, hands on and specifically adapted to reflect the real scenarios that occur in school settings. From playground bumps to classroom incidents whether you’re a teacher, support assistant or lunchtime supervisor, this course ensures you’re confident and capable when it matters most.

First aid for the workplace first aid at work
First Aid at Work (FAW)

For designated first aiders or those with additional responsibilities, our First Aid at Work (FAW) course provides a more comprehensive, three day training experience. Covering a wider range of conditions and emergencies including asthma, anaphylaxis, head injuries, and more.

You can split this course up! It doesn’t have to be 3 days in a row. 
As long as we complete all 3 days in a 6 weeks we can fit around you. Some farms have completed every Friday for 3 weeks. Or A Tuesday then a Thursday then a Monday. The only rule is we need to do a full day

FAW training is designed to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) for first aid in the workplace

12 hour Paediatric First Aid (EYFS) and EFAW

both qualifications, one day* in the classroom.

The Paediatric First Aid (EYFS) course is a 12 hour training course designed for anyone working with babies and young people. 

The EFAW is a 6 hour training course designed for working with adults in the workplace.

We have the ability to deliver all the training for both these qualifications in one day in the classroom. One day online self paced learning prior to a day in the classroom with one of our instructors. 

The learner takes two assessments at the end of the day with us.

*6 hours online self paced learning training required before the day in the classroom.

First Aid at Work (FAW) Requal

The First Aid at Work Requalification (FAW Requal) course is two days of training designed for individuals who already hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate and need to renew their qualification before it expires. Recognised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), this course ensures that first aiders remain up to date with current protocols and are confident in their ability to respond effectively to emergencies.

The course covers all the essential content of the full three-day First Aid at Work course, including managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR and defibrillation, treating wounds and bleeding, burns, fractures, medical emergencies, and more. Learners are assessed through practical demonstrations and a written test.

To book this course you must have a valid FAW certificate dated in the last 3 years and 28 days of the requalification course end date.

DAC Sports first aid
Sports First Aid Level 3

In sport, injuries happen fast — and the first few minutes matter.

This one-day Sports First Aid Level 3 course is designed to give coaches, sports staff and volunteers the confidence and skills to respond effectively to injuries and medical emergencies on the pitch, court or training ground.

This course can be spread out over two sessions on different days/weeks if required. Or delivered on a Saturday or Sunday. (But not during the rugby season! Dave will be coaching)

The course combines essential first aid skills with sport-specific injury management, helping you deal with everything from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies in a practical, hands-on environment.

Knife Incidents

Our Knife Incident First Aid training is a specialist half day course designed to equip school staff, youth workers and safeguarding leads with the knowledge and practical skills to respond to catastrophic bleeding, such as those caused by knife related injuries. While these situations are rare, being prepared can save lives. This course provides clear, calm guidance on what to do in those critical first minutes before emergency services arrive.

Focused on practical, scenario-based learning the session covers how to manage major bleeding, apply tourniquets and haemostatic dressings and safely handle embedded objects. It also explores scene safety, effective communication with emergency responders and the emotional and safeguarding considerations that may follow such an incident. The training is sensitive, realistic and tailored specifically for schools and youth settings.

Duration: 3.5 hours

Major Incident First aid

Our Major Incident Response course prepares staff to take life saving action in the critical minutes before emergency services arrive during a mass casualty or terrorist-related incident. Designed in line with the principles of Martyn’s Law (Protect Duty), this practical training gives participants the confidence and skills to manage high-pressure situations effectively whether in schools, public venues, retail spaces, or healthcare settings.

The course covers scene safety, dynamic risk assessment, initial triage and essential interventions such as catastrophic bleeding control. Participants also learn how to declare a major incident using the METHANE protocol, communicate clearly with emergency responders and manage the psychological impact of a traumatic event. It’s a powerful, scenario driven course tailored to those who may find themselves first on scene in a major incident.

Fire Safety Training

Our Fire Safety Awareness course provides essential training for all staff, helping them understand how to prevent, identify and respond to fire risks in the workplace. Fully compliant with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, this course is ideal for schools, offices, and community settings looking to meet their legal duties and promote a culture of safety.

Delivered on site in a practical 3-hour session for up to 12 people, the course covers fire prevention, evacuation procedures, how fires spread, alarm systems and safe behaviour in an emergency. An optional hands on fire extinguisher practical can be included to boost confidence in using firefighting equipment effectively and safely.

Duration: 3.5 hours

Student First Aid Training

Our First Aid Training for Students is all about building confidence, responsibility and life saving skills that go beyond the classroom. We offer engaging, age appropriate training for young people of all ages helping them know what to do in an emergency, whether it’s helping a friend, family member or someone in the wider community. These sessions promote calm, capable action and are a powerful way to foster compassion and resilience in young people.

For students aged 16 and over, we deliver regulated qualifications such as Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and First Aid at Work (FAW) valuable not only for everyday life but also as standout additions to a CV. For under 16’s, we offer shorter First Aid Awareness sessions that cover core skills like calling for help, dealing with minor injuries and staying safe until adults or emergency services arrive. All sessions are designed to be practical, memorable and age appropriate.

Student Duke of Edinburgh First Aid Training

Bronze, Silver or Gold we have the training. We do this in scenario based learning. We give them the scenarios and they act it out and try and fix the problem. 

We have delivered this to all levels and can make it as basic or as advanced as need. From an hour to a half day we can deliver engaging training. 

We have often complete the first aid as part of a round robin across a day with other subjects. Such as navigation, campcraft, route planning, mountain weather, emergency procedures.
