Description

The 12-Hour EYFS Paediatric First Aid course is designed for anyone responsible for the care of babies and young children, including nursery practitioners, preschool staff, childminders, reception staff and early years professionals. Through realistic scenarios and hands-on practical training, learners develop the confidence to recognise emergencies quickly and provide effective first aid until professional help arrives.

This nationally recognised qualification meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and is suitable for those who need a full Paediatric First Aid certificate for their role. Training covers CPR for infants and children, choking, unconscious casualties, severe bleeding, burns, fractures, allergic reactions including anaphylaxis, asthma, meningitis, seizures, diabetes, poisoning, head injuries and many other common childhood illnesses and injuries.

Unlike many classroom-based courses, DAC Education delivers engaging, scenario-based training using realistic equipment and experienced instructors with frontline emergency care backgrounds. Our practical approach ensures learners leave not only qualified but confident to act when it matters most.

This course meets and exceeds the standards set by Ofsted, CSSIW and SureStart, and is only delivered on-site at your setting. Whether you’re preparing for inspection or updating qualifications, we’ll ensure your team gains the skills and confidence to handle real life first aid situations involving children and infants.

Successful learners receive a certificate valid for three years.
