Lone Worker - Seriously Injured course
Be Prepared When Working Alone – Learn to Save Yourself
As an organisation, we identified a critical gap in the availability of training for lone workers who may be seriously injured while working alone. In remote or high-risk environments, where immediate assistance is not available, how can a lone worker help themselves before help arrives?
Our Lone Worker First Aid course is designed specifically for individuals operating alone—whether working with heavy machinery, in dangerous settings, or in remote areas far from immediate support.
Lone workers face a unique set of challenges, including accidents, injuries, health emergencies, and the risk of violence or harassment, particularly in isolated or high-risk locations. Employers have a responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of their lone workers, which includes providing proper training, equipment, and support to manage risks and respond to emergencies effectively.
This training equips lone workers with the essential skills to recognise signs of distress, administer basic first aid, and use communication tools to summon help quickly. It enhances their confidence and preparedness to handle emergencies when working alone.
The course is available nationwide or can be attended at our dedicated training centre in Suffolk.
Remember: Failing to protect lone workers can result in hefty fines, reputation damage, and, most importantly, harm to employees.
Lone worker Stats
More people need to know first aid
Approximately 5 million of the estimated 8 million lone workers in the UK do not recognise themselves as lone workers—and many receive little or no formal training.
Delivered nationwide for groups of 6 or more, small groups can book on to our courses in Suffolk.
This 3.5-hour course teaches how to manage medical emergencies when help isn’t immediately available. You’ll learn self-care, bleeding control, and safe communication when alone. Ideal for surveyors, maintenance staff, and remote workers. Delivered on-site or at our Suffolk centre, UK-wide
This first aid for lone workers course was designed by our MD. Lone workers can face a range of challenges and risks, including accidents, injuries, and health emergencies. They may also be more vulnerable particularly if they work in isolated or high-risk locations.
Employers, including Farmers, have a responsibility to their workers to ensure the safety and well-being of their lone workers on the farm. Providing lone working first aid training may involve providing training to administer first aid on themselves, carrying the correct lone worker first aid kit and providing support to help them manage risks and respond to emergencies.
Do lone workers need to be first aid trained?
Well we think so, Lone workers should be confident in their own ability to administer first aid to themselves to stop bleeding and avoid life changing injuries while in a remote location while waiting for help to arrive.
The lone worker seriously injured half day course can be taught at your location (requires a minimum of 6 people on the course) or join one of our scheduled courses at our training centre in Suffolk.
