Many larger construction contracts such as HS2 and Sizewell. Have written into their contracts they required higher level of First Aid training.
Some contracts where the risk profile is higher, they are asking for Responder level training such as FREC3 or FROS3.
Construction sites often involve heavy machinery, working at height, electrical systems and hazardous materials. Our responder courses equip responders to handle serious trauma, such as crush injuries, amputations, severe bleeding and airway compromise beyond the scope of basic first aid.
Compliance with CDM and HSE guidance
Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations and HSE guidance, employers must ensure adequate first aid provision based on risk level. For remote sites, lone workers or complex jobs, a higher level of first aid training like FREC 3 is recommended or required.
