Our 8 Hour Outdoor First Aid Level 3 (VTQ) course is designed for people who enjoy spending time outdoors and want practical first aid skills that are relevant to real life outdoor situations.  Knowing what to do when something goes wrong can make a real difference, particularly when you’re away from immediate help.

Whether you’re planning a family camping trip, regularly go hiking, enjoy adventure activities, lead a Scout or Guide group or simply want to feel more prepared when you’re away from home, this course gives you the knowledge and confidence to respond when an incident happens outdoors.

Delivered outside under a parachute near Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge, Suffolk. this CPD certified course covers essential first aid skills for remote environments. £108 + VAT

8 hour Outdoor First Aid level 3 (VTQ)

Woodbridge, Suffolk  | 09:00- 18:00 | £108 + VAT 

The course covers primary and secondary care adapted to the outdoor environment, with practical scenarios designed to help you think about what you would actually do when help isn’t immediately available.

Your  instructor brings more than 20 years of real world experience in expedition leadership and search and rescue management. His training is built around practical knowledge and experience, including the things that don’t necessarily appear in a standard first aid manual.

If you enjoy the outdoors but don’t need the additional depth of an expedition-level first aid course, the 8 hour course provides a practical introduction to outdoor first aid.

 The course is aligned with the Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL) Statement of Good Practice on Outdoor First Aid at Band 3.

All DAC Education first aid courses meet the relevant UK and European Resuscitation Council guidance and HSE requirements. This course meets UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines (2021) and is independently CPD-certified.
