Farmers: highly skilled individuals working with machinery and animals
Our first aid for farms courses and Health & Safety for farms coursesare tailored to your environment and needs.
Farmers and those who work on a farm are highly skilled individuals with a great amount of sense and knowledge, but when dealing with unpredictable livestock and heavy machinery, accidents do happen. Having knowledge of how to administer first aid for farm environments is imperative for one main reason: when an emergency incident occurs on a farm it is highly likely that it will take much longer for the emergency medical services to reach a remote farm or isolated field.
Having some knowledge and understanding of how to administer first aid to others and yourself, if working alone and remotely, goes a long way to a positive result. Our health and safety for farms course can reduce the risk and help prevent serious accidents happening. . Our courses can also go towards your Red Tractor compliance.
Something we also train on our course is the importance of having the correct first aid kits throughout the farm, in break rooms, yards, on larger machinery and in vehicles will greatly increase the chances of a good outcome from an injury.
We deliver our first aid for farms and Farm Health and Safety courses in Suffolk or we can come to your farm, nationwide.

Our lone worker seriously injured course was designed by our MD and accredited by one of our awarding bodies, ProTrainings. This level 3 course talks about lone workers facing a range of challenges and risks, including accidents, injuries and health emergencies. Working in isolated and high risk environments also makes lone workers more vulnerable.
Farmers have a responsibility to their workers to ensure their safety and well-being when working alone in remote fields or other areas of the farm. Providing lone working first aid training involves training to administer first aid on themselves, carrying the correct lone worker first aid kit and providing support to help them manage risks and respond to emergencies.
Do lone workers need to be first aid trained?
Absolutely yes, lone workers should be confident in their own ability to administer first aid to themselves. Training to know how to stop bleeding and avoid life changing injuries while in a remote location waiting for help to arrive.
The lone worker seriously injured half day course can be taught at your location (requires a minimum of 6 people on the course) or join one of our scheduled courses at our training centre in Suffolk.
